Lewis and I had a great time visiting our friends and family in Maryland! We were actually there on a business trip for me, since I had an Arbonne table at the Glenelg Country School Holiday Boutique on Saturday. We stayed with our very gracious friends, the Conns, and we were lucky enough to have gorgeous fall weather, warm and sunny. We spent most of Friday visiting friends at GCS; Lewis got to see some of his buddies and several teachers, and I felt like a celebrity in the Lower School. We saw Lew's cousin Alex (photo at left), and one of my former students, Derek, even made me an origami necklace. It is nice to know that we are missed as much as we miss all our friends there. It also turned out to be quite an exciting day, as CNN was there taping a segment for airing on Monday night! In case you missed it, here is the video:
If you'd like to see more photos of our visit, you can check them out on Facebook. We did have a chance to briefly see family, too, since we had brunch with my mom and my sister-in-law on Friday morning, and my mother-in-law and sister-in-law came to the boutique on Saturday. The boutique was very successful, so that was nice, too! In case any of you are still looking for holiday gifts for anyone on your list, please don't hesitate to call me or check out my website for ideas.
We came home on Saturday evening to a rainy Providence, and then my brother-in-law Tim came up on Sunday morning for a very brief visit (he had to work AC/DC in Boston that night). So, overall, we had a great weekend! It is hard to believe that we will be back in MD in just a couple of weeks to celebrate Thanksgiving.

hey Lauri, I'm sorry we missed you. I was biking in Glenelg on Sunday afternoon by which time I suspect you were heading home. You did have some great weather!
