Well, today it is finally starting to feel like Spring. There are even purple crocuses (crocii??) sprouting outside next to our driveway. I think it is almost 60 degrees out! I am starting to feel better, now that I have antibiotics, cough meds, and flonase to deal with the rotten cold I have had for almost three weeks.
Anyway, I am hopeful that things are looking up, now that the weather is changing. Aside from this difficult beginning to my fortieth year, I am feeling pretty positive. Luckily, we didn't have any grandiose plans for Spring Break, so it has been easy to stay at home and relax on the sofa. We did go to see Cut Copy at the House of Blues in Boston on March 22nd, which was awesome - I had a seat in the "disabled" section (a folding chair on the balcony) due to my ankle injury, which worked out great. It was a high-energy show, and the opening band (Matt & Kim) was really fun, too. The funny thing is, I'm pretty sure I went to see Oingo Boingo at this same club in 1990, when it was the Avalon. Feeling just a bit old.... Lew has gone to spend the night with a friend, and I am actually kind of lonely! It'll be weird to have him go back to school again next week after such a long break. I hope they'll need a sub soon. :)

Lauri, crocuses is correct! I can see how easily one could trip on that uneven sidewalk! I hope you heal quickly.
